Tony Law was born in Trinidad & Tobago, grew up on a pig farm in Canada, and has spent the past twenty years living in London. He began performing comedy fifteen years ago: winning the Glastonbury New Act competition and later the Comics’ Coice Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2005. In 2010, he supported Stewart Lee on his national tour before a successful return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. He followed this up in 2011, with a total sell-out run scooping the Amused Moose Laughter Award and a nomination for Best Show at Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival in the process.

In early 2012, he was crowned the Chortle Best Breakthrough Award and filmed several high-profile television pieces and appearances. In August 2012, he was nominated for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award. Over the coming months, he can be seen on BBC1’s Have I Got News For You, BBC2’s Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Heading Out, Sky Arts’ Set List, Comedy Central’s Alternative Comedy Experience and many more. Tony has released three DVDs with Go Faster Stripe.
