Andrea Hubert

Andrea Hubert has been a ‘bridesmaid’ a few times. She made the finals of the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year 2010 Competition beating over 1000 people to gain second place. The same year, she was a semi-finalist in the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny competition.
In 2011, she won 2nd place in the Bath New Act of the Year Competition, 2nd place in the Piccadilly Comedy Club New Act competition, was a finalist in the Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year competition.
Her ‘never-the-bride’ streak finally broke when she won the BOOM-Tish New Act of the Year.

She has written a series of comedy sketches for a BBC pilot, for which she also provided voiceovers. She is also the co-author of the weekly blog ‘Hubert and Smith’s Poetry Corner’ for London Is Funny.

She took her first show, a four-hander called ‘The Comedy Doodle’, to Edinburgh in 2010 and this year she is performing as part of the Big Value showcase for Just the Tonic at The Caves.

“She’s a thoroughly engaging presence…with a quirkily descriptive approach to her observations” – Chortle
