Andre Vincent is such a widely experienced performer it is difficult to sum him up in a few words. He has performed everywhere, from the West End to South Africa, and done everything from circus to panto. Comedy is just one of the many strings in his massively talented bow.
Many stories are told of Andre Vincent journey to fame. Ten percent of them are ninety-five percent true, fourteen percent of them are sixty-five percent true, thirty-five percent of them are only five percent true, and all the rest of them are… told by Andre Vincent. He was born May 1964 in Woolworth’s Department Store Penge, and has not stopped appearing in the most unusual of places since.
He appeared with fellow comic Phill Jupitus In ‘Waiting For Alice’, playing Tweedledum and Tweedledee, and he comes to the House Of Fun from a run at York Theatre Royal playing Oliver Hardy in ‘Laurel & Hardy’.
He devised and co-produced the acclaimed BBC topical series ‘The Late Edition’ with Marcus Brigstocke, where he also appeared every week as it’s roving reporter. They first took a live version of the show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2006 and since then have performed ‘The Early Edition’ at many of the leading UK festivals.
